Exclude browsed or purchased products from recommendations

Exclude browsed or purchased products from your Recommendation SmartBlocks by using the Exclude Recent Activity filter.

You can prevent recently browsed or purchased products from appearing in your Recommendation SmartBlock by applying the Exclude Recent Activity filter. This is useful when you want to avoid recommending items a shopper has already interacted with or bought. You can also layer multiple filters to exclude different types of recent product activity.

Exclude browsed or purchased products

  1. Go to Content > SmartBlocks.

  2. On the Recommendation tab, select your SmartBlock, then select EDIT.

  3. Select the Filtering tab.

  4. Drag and drop the Exclude Recent Activity filter into the filter list.

  5. Adjust the filter configuration according to your requirements.
    You can apply the Exclude Recent Activity filter more than once to further exclude recommendations according to your criteria.

  6. Select SAVE.

The Recommendation SmartBlock now excludes products that shoppers recently viewed or purchased.
