Set up the Shopify integration

Learn how to set up the Shopify integration with your Fresh Relevance account.

Updated over a week ago

You can integrate your Fresh Relevance account with Shopify and Shopify Plus, which includes the following includes:

  • Continuous product synchronisation

  • Multi-currency support

  • Multi-store support

  • Product variant support

  • Cart rebuild

  • Collection and tag synchronisation

Install the Shopify integration

To install the Shopify integration in Fresh Relevance:

  1. Expand the User menu and go to Settings > Website Settings > Site Details.

  2. Select NEXT.

  3. Expand the Website eCommerce System drop-down menu and select Shopify. This opens the Shopify Store List page.

  4. For Shopify Store ID, enter your Shopify store’s ID.

  5. Select CONNECT

  6. Log in to your Shopify store admin and grant permission for the integration to run.

  7. Select Install. This redirects you back to Fresh Relevance. The script and webhooks automatically install on your site.

    • Webhooks are used to report data back to Fresh Relevance.

Your Shopify store is now visible Connected Stores list:

Product synchronisation

A full product sync automatically begins in the background. This can be run at any time selecting QUEUE FULL PRODUCT RESYNC FOR ALL STORES.

The product sync can sometimes take a long time to complete.

Store connection reset

The connection to the store can be refreshed by selecting RESET ALL STORE CONNECTIONS. This removes and re-adds the script and webhooks.

  • This operation can take a long time and should not normally be required.

  • If you are using Shopify in a headless capacity, you should still install the App, as this sets up the webhooks. You may be required to install the script on your front-end manually. For more help, contact our support team.

Connect to multiple Shopify sites

You can connect multiple Shopify stores to your Fresh Relevance account by following the installation process above for each separate store you want to connect to.

Each store creates a new product set in Fresh Relevance, with a site brand equal to the Shopify store ID.

  • The store ID can be used for filtering in product recommendations and marketing rules.

  • Contact your account manager to add additional stores to your contract

Settings - Base URL, Synchronizing Collections and Tags

Each store has a settings page that allows you to adjust behavior. Select EDIT to access the page.

From here you can set the:

  • Store Name

The name of the store in the Fresh Relevance UI.

  • Base URL

The URL to used for products synced into Fresh Relevance for this store.

  • Allowed Tags
