Use Shopify Markets with Fresh Relevance

Import market product pricing and translations into Fresh Relevance for Shopify Markets.

Updated over 2 months ago

Before you start

Things you need to know:

  • It’s not possible to use multiple price lists in conjunction with Shopify Markets.

  • We support a maximum of 50 markets.

  • Products included in or excluded from a specific Market after the initial sync may take up to 24 hours to update in Fresh Relevance. You can trigger a manual resync if you want this data to appear sooner.

Connect Shopify Markets

Fresh Relevance accounts which are already connected to Shopify must re-authenticate to allow us to obtain the necessary permissions to import market data.

  1. In Fresh Relevance, expand the User menu and select Settings.

  2. Expand the Website settings drop-down menu and select Shopify settings.

  3. Under Connect store, enter your Shopify Store ID and select CONNECT.

You're redirected to Shopify, where you need to log in. If you're already logged into Shopify on your browser, the page refreshes and you can see that a full product resync has been requested. You can now start importing product pricing.

  4. In Fresh Relevance, select EDIT next to your connected store.

  5. Select the Import prices for Shopify Markets checkbox.

  6. If your store is translated into multiple languages, you can also import the translations into Fresh Relevance. Select the checkbox for Import translations. Enabling translation imports creates new products with different language values.

  7. Select SAVE AND UPDATE STORE.

The sync process should only take a few minutes, but if you have a very large number of products it might take a little longer for the initial sync.

Once the sync is complete, you can see an overview of the imported market data.

Market data on product pages

When you view a product in Fresh Relevance, you can see the market data listed on the product details page.

To view this data:

  1. Go to Data > Products.

  2. Select the product you want to view.

  3. On the Product details tab, you can see market data under Customer group prices.

Include market data in recommendations

If you have imported translations, you must update your Recommendation SmartBlocks by adding language, {{merges.lang}}, and currency, {{merges.curr}}, as merge parameters and filters.

To do this:

  1. Go to Content > SmartBlocks.

  2. On the Recommendation tab, select a SmartBlock then select EDIT.

  3. Select the Properties tab, then select NEW MERGE PARAMETER.

  4. For Merge parameter name, enter lang, then select ADD MERGE PARAMETER.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the merge parameter value curr.

  6. Select the Filtering tab.

  7. Drag a Product field block into the rule tree, and configure the rules:

    1. For Field, select Currency, for Comparison, select is one of then for Currency, enter {{merges.curr}}.

    2. For Field, select Language, for Comparison, select is one of then for Language, enter {{merges.lang}}.

  8. Select SAVE.
