You can provide a more personalized and targeted experience for your customers with content such as recommendations for trending products or impulse buys, countdown timers to an impending sale, or a unique coupon code with an expiry date.
The content is selected in real-time, using individual or crowd-sourced behavioral data.

Add a SmartBlock to a Slot
Once you have created a SmartBlock, you need to use it in a Slot.
To do this:
Go to Content > Slots.
Select the tab for the type of Slot you want to create:
Email Personalization
To personalize email campaigns sent through your messaging provider.Website Personalization
To add content to your website or mobile app.Triggered Messages
To use the SmartBlock in triggered email campaigns through cart layouts.
Select CREATE SLOT.
Enter a Slot Name.
We suggest you choose something that refers to where the SmartBlock will be used in your emails or website, for example, Right banner or Main email offer.If required, edit the Unique Reference. This reference is visible in some URLs, so make sure it’s suitable for your site visitors or email recipients to see.
Add any Slot tags you want to use for this Slot.
Slot tags allow you to categorize your Slots for organization and reporting purposes.For Merge Parameter Names, enter the names of any merge parameters you want to use.
Select the Dynamic checkbox to set the Slot as dynamic.
We always recommend you use dynamic Slots to ensure that your impression data is as accurate as possible. The only reason not to do this is if you are on a legacy pricing model and want to limit your credit usage.Select the radio button to control whether or not to show the Slot to your Control Group.
Don’t show to the 5% of shoppers in the Control Group
We recommend this setting unless the content contained in the Slot is essential to the viewing of the web page or message.Show to Everyone
Select Save.
Select Rules, and then use the rule options to build out your decision tree for which visitors or recipients see which content.
Learn more in Use marketing rules.Select Add SmartBlocks to drag and drop the SmartBlock you want to display into the decision tree.
Once you’re happy with your Slot, select SAVE.
