Although triggered messages are typically transactional and exempt from unsubscribe link requirements, you can add one using either of these methods:
Unsubscribe link through ESP
Some ESPs honor send permissions through the API integration. If a customer has previously unsubscribed, no emails are sent to them. In this case, use the standard ESP unsubscribe link in your email campaigns. Check with our Support team to determine if your ESP supports this feature.
Unsubscribe link through Fresh Relevance
If your ESP doesn't recognize previous unsubscribe information, or you use a separate ESP for transactional emails, create an unsubscribe link using our system:
Expand the User menu and go to Settings > Triggers and Messaging integrations.
Select Unsubscribe Link.
Enter a redirect page (for example, a confirmation page) for after the unsubscribe request is processed.
Select GO.
The link should include the code for your selected ESP to merge the customer's email address. If not, replace [email] with the appropriate merge code. Selecting this link sets a flag on the person's record to prevent further emails from being sent by us. This doesn't update the settings in your ESP.
