Before you start
Things you need to know:
You must have access to both your Fresh Relevance and Campaign Monitor account with API permissions.
You may have to ask Campaign Monitor Support to enable your API permissions.
Navigation changes
Integration partners update their platforms over time. The method for connecting to Fresh Relevance is always the same, but navigation paths in our integration partner accounts can sometimes change. If something doesn't look right, contact our support team and refer to the integration partner's help documentation.
1. Campaign Monitor to-do list
Before you setting up your Campaign Monitor channel in Fresh Relevance, there’s a couple of things you need to do in your Campaign Monitor account.
Create lists and transactional email templates
Fresh Relevance uses the Campaign Monitor API to send emails. You need one or more lists and transactional email templates. You can choose whatever names you like, but you need to copy details such as the IDs of your subscriber lists and transactional emails into Fresh Relevance so it knows what to send.
You can use existing content, or if you need help creating new subscriber lists and email templates the follow the links below to Campaign Monitor’s Help Centre:
Subscriber list
To find and copy the ID from your subscriber list:
In Campaign Monitor, select the Lists & Subscribers tab at the top of the page.
Under LIST, select the list you want to copy the ID from.
Under the list’s name, select (change name/type).
Under API Subscriber List ID, copy the 32-character API Subscriber List ID to use in Fresh Relevance later.
Email template
To find and copy the ID from your email template:
In Campaign Monitor, select the Transactional tab at the top of the page.
Under Emails, select the email template you want to copy the ID from.
Copy the 36-character value from the end of the URL to use in Fresh Relevance later.
API key
To find and copy your Campaign Monitor API key:
Expand the profile menu at the top of the page and select Account settings.
Select API keys to view the page that holds your API key.

Expand the Messaging provider drop-down menu, and select Campaign Monitor as your provider.
Enter the Channel name and your Campaign Monitor API Key, then select NEXT.
If required, enter a Catch-All Email Address.
A catch-all email address email should be entered while you are testing this channel, then cleared when you are finished. If set, messages go to this address and not to your customers.
For Default Email ID for Cart Abandonment, enter the the 36-character value you copied from the end of the Campaign Monitor email template URL.
Select the Subscribe and Send Even if Opted Out checkbox to enable or disable the setting.
If enabled, email addresses that have opted out of the upload list ID given, are opted in again and sent emails.
Select the Apply Permission Check List to New Addresses checkbox to enable or disable the setting.
If checked then emails are only be sent to customers when they are subscribed to the Permission Check list. If disabled, then emails are not sent unless the customer is unsubscribed.
Expand the New Contact Permission Behaviour drop-down menu and choose how the permission should handle adding a new contact to the ESP:
Add the contact with a status of “subscribed”
or Add the contact with a status of “unsubscribed”.
Expand Contact Exists Permission Behaviour drop-down menu and choose how the permission should handle contacts that already exists on the ESP:
Do not change the subscription status stored on Campaign Monitor
or Change status of the contact to “subscribed” regardless of the current Campaign Monitor permission status.
