Manage Do not process status

Learn to manage user data processing using Fresh Relevance's Do Not Process and Cancel Do Not Process options.

Updated over 7 months ago

You can control the processing of a person's data with the Do Not Process and Cancel Do Not Process options. These support the right to restrict processing, the right to erasure and to be forgotten, and rights in relation to automated decision-making and profiling under the GDPR.

Enable Do not process

When Do Not Process is enabled, Fresh Relevance no longer records the person's data once they're identified. Marketing features like SmartBlocks are no longer personalized, and triggered messages are not sent.

To enable Do Not Process:

  1. Go to Data > Shoppers and select the person you want to stop processing.

  2. Under Permissions, expand the OK to Process Data (GDPR) drop-down menu, then select Do not process.

Limited personal data

By default, the limited personal data held about this person is not shown when Do not process is enabled. To view this, turn on the Show Personal Data toggle.

This data is limited to the information required for your support team to correctly identify the person, such as when handling a subject data access request.

Cancel Do not process

This option is useful when a person has previously been set to Do Not Process. Their data will be recorded by Fresh Relevance (once they have been identified), marketing features like SmartBlocks will be personalized and triggered messages will be sent.

To cancel Do Not Process:

  1. Go to Data > Shoppers and select the person you want to unsubscribe.

  2. Under Permissions, expand the OK to Process Data (GDPR) drop-down menu, then select Process.
