Product similarity uses AI to identify and group similar products for personalized recommendations to shoppers.

Use product name

Enable this option to include product names when calculating similarity between products.

Use product description

Enable this option to include product descriptions when calculating similarity between products.

Strip HTML from product description

Enable this option to remove HTML formatting from product descriptions before processing, ensuring only the text content influences similarity calculations.

Restrict to tag groups

Specify which tag groups the Product Similarity AI should use. Enter tag group names separated by commas (for example, collection, vendor, product-type, color, title).

If left blank, the system automatically uses the eight most common tag groups in your catalog.

Include product extradata fields

Specify fields stored in the product's extra data that should be considered by the AI algorithm when generating product similarity recommendations.

In addition to these fields, the AI also considers the product's name, description, and categories (if selected).

Exclude tag groups

Specify a list of tag groups to exclude when calculating the AI similarity scores.

Exclude ungrouped tags

Specify a list of ungrouped tags to exclude when calculating the AI similarity scores.

Exclude products by categories

Specify which product categories should be excluded from price affinity predictions. This prevents certain product types from influencing price-based recommendations.
